Brandywine Battlefield Park Site has many features for you to explore.
The visitor center has an excellent small collection and a short video describing the battle of Brandywine. The focal point of the park, this is where you can sign up for the Ring house guided tour. Experienced docents will explain the history of the park in the battle as they guide you through Washington’s headquarters.
The museum shop, in the visitor center, is run by the Park Associates and has many reproductions, books and collectables relating to the revolutionary period and the battle of Brandywine. Details.
The Ring house, Washington’s Headquarters, is open for guided tours by the museum staff.
The Gilpin house surroundings with the barn and blacksmith’s forge can be explored from outside while the house itself is being restored. Next to the house is a gigantic sycamore tree dating from the battle era.
